Apostle Kathryn Krick Preaching at 5F Church

The Unshaken Disciple

sermon spiritual equipping

This message was shared by Apostle Kathryn Krick, Lead Pastor/Apostle of 5F Church, in Los Angeles on March 29, 2026. To watch the full video, scroll to the bottom of this post. We pray this teaching blesses you and equips you to walk as a powerful vessel of God.

Matthew 21:6-11

Then the disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them, and they brought the donkey and the colt, and placed their coats on them; and Jesus sat on the coats. Most of the crowd spread their coats on the road [as before a king], while others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of Him, and those that followed Him, were shouting [in praise and adoration], “Hosanna to the Son of David (Messiah); Blessed [praised, glorified] is He who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest [heaven]!” [Ps 118:26] When He entered Jerusalem, all the city was trembling [with excitement], saying, “Who is this?” And the crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee.”

The people were all in the city; they were trembling with excitement. We are trembling with excitement, too, because the same Jesus Christ that was before them is here today. It is He who does all these miracles. He is here and alive today, just as alive as He was when they were shouting “Hosanna” and trembling with excitement. He is here today. This is why we are trembling with excitement here and in adoration of King Jesus.

I believe that we need to start living as if it’s Palm Sunday every Sunday—not just then, but every day. We need to renew our minds so that we can live trembling with excitement that our Jesus is alive in our lives, that He’s moving in power, and that He’s doing miracles. When you need a miracle, He’s available! He’s here to touch you in power. And this Jesus who is here is alive. He is so mighty and all powerful. He is the King of Kings. He has victory over the devil in your life, in our lives, every single day. The promises that God has spoken, they are yes and amen. God will fulfill every single promise because the devil has no power to stop these promises from coming to pass. So we tremble with excitement every day that Jesus is alive, that He is moving in power. And these are not just nice words we say in church. This is reality because we are living in revival! And this revival is going from glory to glory! Victory upon victory!

Palm Sunday was one day of this praise of Jesus and then it ended. It wasn’t this continual praise, but then we see this great persecution of Jesus: we see Him arrested and tortured, and we see Him hung on a cross to die, crucified. As soon as  persecution comes, there is a shift, where the praise, honor, respect, and excitement turns to fear of man. It turns to betrayal of Jesus, to cowardiceness, and to hiding rather than standing proudly with Jesus.

The people were standing proudly and unashamedly with Jesus, worshipping Him and honoring Him. But everything shifted when persecution came, when the devil unleashed his plans through people, through religious people, to speak all these nasty, untrue things about Jesus and accuse Him of being this criminal who was worthy of the punishment of death. Everything changed because people, by and large, are fickle. This is something you need to understand: people are fickle. And you need to be so careful that you’re not following just anyone. The Apostle Paul gives us this example, as he says to his disciples, “Follow me as I follow Christ. Imitate me as I imitate Christ” (1Corinthians 11:1). Paul was a trusted, loyal, anointed servant of God whom God appointed to be a leader of people. God trusted him and gave him sheep to disciple. And so Paul said to the people, “Follow me as I follow Christ.” This was because God is invisible, and people need an example. They need to see a person who has been transformed to be like Christ, who is a good example, so they can know what it’s like to be a godly righteous person and really know what humility looks like, and what patience looks like and what having faith looks like, and not doubting. People need to know what walking in authority looks like, what loving others looks like, what gentleness looks like, what self control looks like. God knows that people need an example, so God has set this way of choosing to move through people. So we see that you should follow a person, such as the leader that God has called you to be planted under. You should follow that person, but you need to be very careful that you’re not following the wrong people and that you’re not following multiple people's examples—that you’re not following just anybody who seems confident, who is charismatic, who has influence, who is popular, who sounds like they really know the Bible, who has a massive church, a massive ministry, a massive following, who has lots of connections. You have to be really careful that you’re not following just anybody who acts as a leader but is not truly a leader in God’s eyes, and definitely not an anointed leader.

So we have this crowd, and the majority is praising God, is so excited that the Messiah has come, and is acknowledging that He’s the Messiah. But now when persecution comes, they grow quiet with their praise. They start acting like they don’t know Jesus. They start acting like they never did that. All of the disciples, except for John and Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mary the wife of Clopas, were not around anymore. Even the close disciples that were close to Jesus, even Peter. He denied Jesus three times, and Judas betrayed Jesus.

Matthew 27:20-23

Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. The governor again said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas.” Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said, “Let him be crucified!” And he said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Let him be crucified!”

So we see now that there’s a crowd on Palm Sunday, praising Jesus. They are excited to stand with Jesus. And just a few days later, there’s now a crowd not doing that at all. Instead they are doing the opposite. They are saying, “Release the real criminal where there’s real evidence that he’s a criminal, and instead, crucify Jesus,” who is innocent, perfectly innocent, and has not sinned even one time. So I say to you today, there needs to be a lesson learned from what happened on this week before Easter. We need to be like the people praising Jesus, EXCITEDLY! Not quietly, but boldly, excitedly, and unashamedly. Not just on Palm Sunday. Not just when the whole crowd, the bandwagon, is doing it. Not just when it’s popular. But we need to be proudly praising Jesus, standing with Him with all boldness! And not just that, full of excitement. Void of fear of man. That’s how you can be full of excitement, because you’re seeing in the spirit. It’s stupid and foolish to be afraid of man. That’s what steals the joy. That’s what steals the boldness, is the fear of man. But when you totally fear God, it means that your eyes are locked on God. You’ve humbled yourself, and when you’re humble and your eyes are focused on God, that’s where He can open up your spiritual eyes. That’s where you can see how massive He is and how puny and defeated the devil is, and how powerless people are especially compared to God. It doesn’t matter how many followers they have. It doesn’t matter the platform they have. They are so powerless before God!

Today, most people that identify as Christians and attend church are lukewarm. Not everybody, but most, in the days we’re living now. That’s going to change because God has brought revival. That’s why we need revival in the church. Jesus is transforming His bride. He’s beautifying His bride, but before it’s beautified, it’s not beautiful yet, right? We are in the beginning stages of the bride being beautified. So, the biggest area it needs to be beautified is in surrender, from lukewarm to surrender to God. You really need to understand this truth that most Christians are lukewarm, even Christians that have tons of followers and a huge platform and huge churches even. Some of them are lukewarm. You need to understand that the majority is lukewarm. When you understand that, you won’t be easily persuaded to follow the popular crowd. This is what we see on Palm Sunday. There wasn't any persecution. There.was no temptation to care what people think, if you’re doing something “controversial.” And so the majority are praising God, but then persecution comes. All of a sudden, fear of man comes and the majority, the huge majority, abandons Jesus.

Jesus truly walked on this earth. The Bible isn’t a fairytale or just a story. He walked on this earth as 100% human and 100% God. And do you know that the Pharisees at the time, the religious people with whom Jesus grew up in the synagogues, were worshipping the same God as Jesus? It was the same religion, the same beliefs. It’s just that Jesus was the fulfillment of their beliefs. They had read the prophecies of the Messiah coming, and Jesus was aligned with their beliefs. It wasn’t like there were two different religions. The Messiah that they read about came, and he fulfilled the prophecies that they knew, that they had memorized and could recite. Even Palm Sunday was the fulfillment of a prophecy. So there were all these signs from God; it was so clear. On top of all of that, Jesus was totally perfect, totally sinless. He did not sin one time.

I want you to think about this: today as believers, we have God living inside of us. We have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. God really lives in you, and that makes you godly, as you submit to Him. He’s transformed you. Most of you have been transformed in some capacity to be godly, to be like Christ. You carry God in you. And so the actions you do, the words you speak—it’s God doing it through you.

Let's go back to the times of Jesus. This was before the Holy Spirit. Back then, it was only prophets that God would move through, and anointed people, like King David, for example. It wasn’t everybody. They didn’t have the Holy Spirit like we do now. So imagine the contrast of everybody versus Jesus. Imagine. It would be so different than today. If Jesus was walking among us today, it’s less of a contrast because Jesus is also moving through us. But back then, I want you to understand how crazy it is that they couldn’t see He was the Messiah. The contrast! Ungodly people, sinful people versus sinless, pure, perfect Jesus. On top of that, He’s doing signs, wonders, and miracles, raising the dead, healing the sick, casting out demons, and treating everyone with love and kindness.

Jesus says, “If you don’t believe me, believe the signs that I do” (John 10:38), meaning, the signs were so undeniable. Magicians can’t do that. Nobody can do that. Only Jesus can do those miracles. Only Jesus can bring true freedom, and freedom that lasts, true healing, true transformation, just like He does today. It’s not hard to see the fruits. Only Jesus can do these miracles that we’re seeing in revival today.

Today, Jesus is alive and He’s moving in power in this revival. Jesus isn’t just up in heaven and telling us what to do but He’s literally living inside of us and He’s moving through us. These works that take place at 5F Church, through the screen, that is Jesus. Don't see a person; see Jesus. Don’t see a servant of God; see Jesus. Because it is Jesus who is doing everything. He’s not up in heaven doing these things. He’s literally here present. He’s here. Like the man, Martin, being touched on the ground—that’s literally Jesus on this ground touching him.

And so, history repeats itself. The devil is still active today. He’s still around. We are still in a spiritual battle, as in the times of Jesus when he walked on the earth. Jesus is still alive today. He is still moving upon the earth, through servants of God, through vessels. The same Jesus. And so the devil, just as he was so angry for Jesus to be doing these miracles, for Jesus to be bringing these words that brought true life and salvation, the devil is just as angry today and the devil uses people today like he used the Pharisees in those times.

Today there will be the same testings, the same temptations that the disciples went through, where Peter failed the test and John and the Marys passed the test and stayed with Jesus. There will be those same testings and temptations today in the body of Christ for every believer. There were religious people, Pharisees, who did not receive persecution like Jesus, because they were not a threat to the devil. The majority of churches aren’t experiencing the power of God yet, but it's changing because revival is now and it’s spreading around the world, but we need to be aware that we are called to be like the few who remained with Jesus through persecution, and we need to be aware that we are the few that are chosen.

You are the few that are chosen. Many are called—there are many Christians who are called to receive the power of God, to receive revival and step into it. All Christians are called. Right now, in the beginning stages of revival, we’re still building the foundation. The majority have eyes that don’t see—they have not stepped into revival. You need to be aware of this so that you don’t fall for the trap that the devil is trying to set like he did for Peter.

My spiritual father, Prophet GeorDavie, taught me so much, and I know without a shadow of doubt that because of what he shared about what he has been through, the persecution he’s been through, and him bringing this equipping into my life, that I bypassed so many mistakes because of it. I know it without a shadow of a doubt. There probably could have been hundreds or thousands of mistakes that I would have made, tests that I would have failed, if I did not have his example where he shared what he has been through and how we should respond to the enemy attacking in this way—how we overcome, how we walk in authority, how we have victory, and the truth of Jesus so that I couldn't be deceived by the devil.

You see, Peter was deceived by the devil in this moment when he denied Jesus three times. He was deceived by the lies coming in his mind from the devil, like, “Be afraid. Be afraid of people. If you say that you are a disciple of Jesus, then people will have power to do bad things to you. Be afraid of people.” The devil was speaking this! And Peter fell for that deceit.

Now we have this example. We have this benefit of coming after, where we can learn how the enemy works. We don’t have to make the same mistake if we value the Word of God—if we believe that it is real, that it is alive, that we’re not reading a history book. But if we would believe: “This is a lesson for me! The same devil’s coming with the same schemes today that he did towards Peter and all those people in that time of Holy Week. He’s coming in the same way after me! And my Jesus is the same Jesus that had the victory over death! My God is the same God who is all powerful over all people. That is our God! Why are you afraid of people? Don’t be afraid of people who are mere men, who are they when compared to God?

Proverbs 21:1

The king's heart is like a stream of water directed by the Lord; he guides it wherever he pleases.

Even kings, even the most powerful people on this earth, don't have power over God. But believers often forget. They forget God’s grace and God’s mercy; how He gives people free will.  We can see Pharoah: God gave him chance after chance, until He intervened. So it’s the same today. Many believers see leaders and people with their hearts hardened, and they wrongly think that these people are more powerful than God. They take their eyes away from fearing God and put their eyes on fearing people.

Galatians 1:10

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

You can’t please people and God at the same time. There will always be people who persecute you when you’re really standing with God. And there will always be people who are angry, many times because of jealousy, simply because you love Jesus and you’re serving Him, because you're after His heart. Simply because you’re standing with Jesus, they hate you.

John 15:18

If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own.

Keep in mind the “world” means people who aren’t true believers that are after God’s heart, so Pharisees were people in the world.

John 15:19

As it is you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the World. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: “A servant is not greater than his master.” If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.

It’s a fact. It’s a promise. This is part of the cost of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. We will be persecuted. No questions about it. So why, when people persecute you, are you all rattled and disturbed? You will be persecuted. We have to be in the Word of God. We have to remind ourselves that we aren’t lukewarm Christians on the bandwagon, but we are true disciples, and this is what a life of a true discipleship looks like. We will be persecuted. We will be hated. That’s okay. Jesus is worth it, even through the persecution and the hatred. We have the victory, always.

John 15:20

If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates me, hates my Father as well. If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: “They hated me without reason.”

You will be hated without reason. So we really should stop being swayed, confused, rattled, and shaken when people hate us because of the church we go to, the beliefs we have, our testimony and our passion about Jesus and revival. When someone is so disturbed by what you’re doing, then the fleshly way, not the spiritual way, is to question yourself, to think that you must be in the wrong, because, Why would someone hate me, be so passionately disturbed, so passionately thinking I’m wrong? You will be hated without reason.

Jesus was so deeply hated without any reason. It made absolutely no sense: He was perfect, He was sinless, but He was still deeply hated—so much so that He was crucified. So it will be the same for us today. And we must know this truth, that we will go through hatred without reason, so that we are not shaken by what people think, so that we don’t try to go the logic route. But we say, “Yeah, here we go. It's the Bible coming alive. Praise God, this means I’m a true disciple! This means I’m really standing with Jesus! This means that the anointing, the power of God, is really in me. I’m being hated without reason, just like Jesus, and I’m seeing this promise be fulfilled, that I will be hated and persecuted just as Jesus was hated and persecuted.” Because it’s Jesus in you that they are hating and persecuting. It’s Jesus in you that the devil hates and persecutes. But Jesus is invisible—He moves through us so that they call your name and they say “false prophet” or “heretic.” But that’s because God is invisible, He’s inside us! It’s Jesus they are hating.

And so we are called to stand with Jesus while He’s being hated and be among the hated with Him, instead of running away and caring what people think.

Matthew 7:21-23

Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?” And then will I declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.”

This Scripture is talking about Christians who are not actually after God’s heart. They’re doing Christian things, but they're not really after God’s heart. And the reason they’re doing Christian things is to get the approval of people, to look good, to make money. But they’re not really after God’s heart; they’re not real disciples of Jesus. And so, they read the Bible daily, they pray many hours a day, they attend church regularly, they may even serve in the church or be a minister or preach, but they are not after God’s heart. This is the state of so many in the body of Christ today, because really being after God’s heart is uncomfortable—it involves being hated and being persecuted. And that’s the major thing that many lukewarm Christians can’t handle because it hurts their ego.

The one thing that is usually the hardest for Christians to let go and surrender is their pride, their ego. Because when you really follow Jesus, He crushes you—He takes you through the refining fire and He crushes you. He strips away your pride and your ego when you let him, when you surrender it to Him. He strips it away, and a big way He does this is through persecution. It’s one of the big reasons it says, “Blessed are you who are persecuted.” Because through this you will be transformed to not have pride in your heart anymore, and you will be transformed to be humble and pure, to die to yourself and become a man or woman of no reputation, void of the fear of man.

If you really want to fear God and have no fear of man, the way that will really happen is by going through persecution. When there’s a temptation to please people and to care what people think but you instead choose to only fear God—through that, God transforms you, and that’s how He takes away the pride. That’s how He does it. I’m a testimony of this. I’ve seen this happen in my life, supernaturally. I’ve gone through persecution, through hatred upon hatred and people calling me all sorts of names, through temptation after temptation to appease people and to do things differently to make them happier and not as angry at me. There’s been temptation after temptation of that. But by God’s strength; by the equipping and the prayers of my spiritual father, Prophet GeorDavie, God has given me the ability to say no—a firm no to all of those temptations. And I can really tell you that I have been transformed through it. I really see the blessing in people hating you. I see the blessing in being rejected and misunderstood, and in going through persecution. I see it because I’m different because of it. I see how God has stripped away my ego, my pride, and caring what people think, to where I’m gone; there’s no more me, no more Kathryn. It’s just whatever is the Lord’s will, whatever God wants. My desire is out of the picture.

So many people today are acting like these people: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven.” A lot of people are acting this way: praying and praying and fasting and fasting and making all these sacrifices. But sacrifices aren’t always good. We see that with Saul. There are people who live in religion, and it’s like they are in denial, doing all these religious things, thinking that it will make up for the fact that they’re not actually after God’s heart. But you can’t fool God. There are so many people who are not embracing revival, God’s power, the ministry of deliverance, and God’s ways: God’s ways of equipping His people through the apostles and the prophets in the church, the five-fold ministry. They are not open, and they are not receiving any of it. Some of them are rejecting it. Some of them are speaking against it. But they’re praying and praying and fasting and fasting, and they’re going to church service after church service. They’re getting up early in the morning, praying and fasting and making all these sacrifices, but what they’re really doing is what Saul did. Saul was asked by God through the prophet to destroy everything. But the people around Saul were pressuring him to do the right religious sacrificial thing and preserve the livestock to be used as sacrifices to God, so Saul disobeyed God. He pleased people instead of God, but he was in denial, thinking, “I’m doing a religious sacrificial thing.” But it cost him the anointing. It was that big of a deal to God—this disobedience, this fear of man. The sacrifice did not touch God’s heart at all because that sacrifice was not led by God.

Do you know what real, godly sacrifice is, that God is asking of you? It’s not to do religious rituals that make you feel super spiritual and impressive. No, the real sacrifice God is looking for, that He considers true and pure and holy, that He is delighted in, is when you will sacrifice your ego and your pride for Him, when you will endure persecution for Him, when you will stand with Him at the cross instead of cowardly running away and hiding. That’s what Jesus sees as a real sacrifice that is pleasing to Him. Real sacrifice that is pleasing to Him is serving His true work, not this lukewarm “work of God” with no power, where the kingdom of God is not even there, because the Bible says, the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power (1 Corinthians 4:20). Sacrificing your gifts, your weaknesses, your abilities, your finances for the work of God—that is a pleasing sacrifice to God.

It says in the Word that obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22). Do not be fooled by Christians who look like they’re sacrificing and sacrificing, but they’re not obeying. They are sacrificing the Saul way, which is displeasing to God.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

You are a chosen people! You are a royal priesthood! You are royalty! You, who are not being Christians in whatever way you want, but who are chosen ones, true disciples—you are royalty.

The more access you give the devil, the more authority he has over your life. The more doors you open to the devil and the more you are living lukewarm and fearing people, the more the devil can bring oppression, troubles, and attacks upon your life. This is why those who are lukewarm and reject Jesus and His move and His anointing are foolish. It’s foolishness! It’s shooting yourself in the foot!

Stop fooling yourself. You can’t fool God. It’s time to fear God and really give your whole life to Him. The more you surrender to God—because there’s different levels of surrender—the more miracles you will experience, the more heaven on earth you will experience, the more abundant life you will experience, the more favor you’ll experience, the more lifting for God’s glory you’ll experience, the more desires of your heart will be fulfilled, the more blessings you’ll experience. To live surrendered to God is a blessed life beyond what anybody can imagine. I’m telling you, God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek after Him (Hebrews 11:6). He is a rewarder of rewarders!

The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power (1 Corinthians 4:20). When you are only giving God some parts, you’re not surrendered to God fully and you’re not experiencing the Kingdom of God in your life. If people are rejecting God’s power, God’s move, they are not experiencing the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power. If you want to experience the true Kingdom of God—supernatural miracles, abundant life—you have to embrace God’s power, and you have to be planted in a church where God’s power is moving. You have to embrace revival and step into it. You have to! There’s no other way if you want to experience the Kingdom of God. And to enter the Kingdom of God, you have to be like a child.

Matthew 18:3

And He said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

Becoming humble and surrendered is the way you will experience the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 11:20

If I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has already come upon you.

You will know the Kingdom of God is upon you, when demons are being cast out and people are being set free.

It’s time to step into this great, joyous, exciting life that is waiting for you, if you haven’t stepped into it already, as royal children of God. This life that is waiting for you is full of so much abundant life and so much favor. Do not be fooled by lukewarm Christians who are not embracing Jesus fully. Do not be fooled by their success. Do not be fooled by their popularity. Do not be fooled by charisma. When you are surrendered to God, that is where real favor is—that is where the lifting is, because you are humble. It’s a matter of God’s timing! When you are surrendered to God, you will experience so much favor, and all the promises that God has made you—and that He’ss made us in this revival—are coming to pass, in God’s perfect timing! It hasn’t happened yet because it’s not God’s timing yet, but it will happen, because God holds all the power, and God favors the most those who are standing with Him fully, who are surrendered fully to Him.

Do you want to have the most favor of anybody on this earth? It’s waiting for you! Favor upon favor upon favor, beyond what you can imagine, where you will experience God opening supernatural doors that no man can shut—that’s the life God has for you as a royal child of God, as a royal child of the King. But you need to open your spiritual eyes to see the life that is yours now. These promises, when they’re fulfilled, they will shock you, until you can’t even talk; they will shock you speechless! I’m a living example of this. Do you know what my life was like years ago? You know my testimony, and it’s just the beginning! It is so worth it to surrender everything to Jesus, including your ego and pride. It is so worth it to be hated for the sake of Jesus! It is so worth it! He’s so worth it to go through persecution after persecution. He is worthy!

Do you know how much it touches God’s heart when you will stand with Him, while most won’t stand with Him? Do you know how much it touches His heart? I want to encourage you to be more after His heart. I want to encourage you to open your spiritual eyes to see that He sees everything. He sees you! He sees you when you stand with Him proudly and unashamedly, when people are persecuting you. He sees you! And He’s so proud of you! His heart is touched when you do that. Do you want to be in a real relationship with God? It’s about touching His heart. It’s about being with Him when He’s being hated and persecuted, standing with Him, and shouting from the rooftops His praises, His goodness, His faithfulness, not caring what people think of you. It touches His heart.

He is worthy. And on top of that, blessings await you when you stand with Him, when you really stand with God. That’s a life that a lot of people don’t experience, because they aren’t all the way in. When you stand with God, God backs you 100% and your life is 100% supernatural. Those doors that will open up for you—it is God alone, and nobody can do anything about it. The plans God has for this revival, for 5F Church, nobody, no power can stop them. That’s why, if we’re ever intimidated or fearful of persecution, we’re being foolish. Because God is so much more powerful than any threat or false accusation or lie or intimidation or earthly power or influencer. He’s so much more powerful. And the one thing God wants more than anything on this earth is for His plans to go forth, for His move, to beautify and transform His bride, to move in power and deliver His people, to heal His people, to reveal His love to His people, and to transform His people. That’s what God wants more than anything. So when you stand with Him in this, you’d better believe that you will see victory after victory after victory.

God is calling us, church, to be like the people on Palm Sunday every day, not just on Sunday, not just on Palm Sunday, not just when it’s popular. Every Sunday!

I’ve seen it happen, in the very beginnings of revival, when so many people were so excited. I experienced the “Hosanna praises” from people, and I was shocked—leaders, ministers, and influencers who were so excited about revival breaking out in 2021. But the moment persecution came, there was so much silence. There were a few people who are here today that were like those few disciples who stood with Jesus. And just like in the Book of Acts, the church kept growing from those small groups of disciples. This is real life. I’ve seen it happen. I see it happen all the time—from “Hosanna” to the silence and shouting, “Crucify!”

Will you stand with Jesus? Will you stand with Him through it all, even when it’s uncomfortable? Will you abandon the bandwagon? Will you abandon the popular crowd and stand with Jesus through everything?

I want to encourage every one of you to take a moment right now and surrender to Jesus. Some of you need to surrender your ego, your pride right now—whatever you’ve been holding on to. Take a moment to surrender fear of man. If you need to surrender fear of man, surrender it right now. I encourage you to speak with your own mouth, from your heart, and repent if you need to, saying, “God, I apologize for being like the people who shouted ‘Hosanna’ on Palm Sunday and when persecution hit, I became quiet, I lost my boldness.” If that’s you, just speak to Him right now. Just tell Him right now, “I want to stand with you always, through everything. I accept being hated and being persecuted. I accept this for you, Jesus. I will walk through this with you. I will walk with you through everything. I will follow you through everything.”

I declare right now that anything that was holding you back, this fear of man, fear of people, people pleasing, spirit of fear, must go in Jesus’ name. Anything that was holding you back from being bold and standing with Jesus, must go from your life now in Jesus’ name. May nothing hold you back anymore from boldly standing with Jesus, your King.
