To have this mind of a leader now is to have the praying spirit. Meaning: that you would be a person of prayer. Daily. Continually.

Praying for this move of God. Praying for God‘s will to be done and the enemy to be defeated. Praying for more and more people to be reached, eyes to open up. 

It says in Acts 1:14

All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer together with the women and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

This is on the day of Pentecost. So when they experienced revival breaking out and the Holy Spirit came, it came as they were in the practice of praying continually and in one accord they were devoting themselves to prayer. 

Acts 1:13-14, this is the Passion Translation of the same verse:

Arriving there, they went into a large second floor room to pray. Those present were Peter, John, Jacob, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, Jacob, Simon, Judas and a number of women, including Mary, Jesus‘ mother. His brothers were there as well. All of them were united in prayer, gripped with one passion, interceding night and day. 

GRIPPED WITH ONE PASSION: JESUS and his work to go forth. For others to know Jesus and encounter his power and be healed and freed. This was their one passion they were gripped with. 

So this is what God is calling you now: To be gripped with one passion and pray in unity with your brothers and sisters in this revival army. To be praying for this move of God. To be praying for this ministry. To be praying for it to advance, to reach more and more people, this move of God. As you stay in this attitude of prayer, this practice of prayer, it is building the passion in you. You are fanning into flame your spirit. You are denying your flesh. You are choosing to fill your mind with the things of God. So this is for you to be in the spirit of prayer continually, it helps to build this fire in you. It helps to build this passion in you so that you can be working hard for Jesus in this revival.

Acts 4:23

On their release Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God: ”Sovereign Lord“, they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them. Now Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.”

V. 29

“Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After they prayed, the place where they were meeting, was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of God boldly.

All of the believers, they were all part of one Church, like we are all part of one Church, they were experiencing persecution. Peter and John were in prison and then the chief priests and elders said: ”You can’t speak of the name Jesus.“ So they reported that back to the believers.

So they‘re experiencing this persecution, they‘re experiencing doors being shut. They‘re experiencing this blockage for the revival to expand. 

And so what do they do? They unite together immediately and pray.

And they say: ”Stretch out your hand to perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus. Enable your servants to speak your words with great boldness.“

These believers are praying for Peter and John. They are praying for their leaders. They are praying for the servants of God.

This is what God is calling you to as a leader: To pray for your leader! Like how they did. And to pray for this work of God to keep going forth, nothing holding it back. Every blockage of the devil broken. Every scheme of the enemy through people stopped. 

And as they prayed, God moved upon their prayers!

The place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. 

So as you are in the spirit of prayer, as you are praying continually, in one accord for this move of God, God is going to move upon your life. He is going to fill you more with His spirit and He is going to fill you with more passion that you need to be the leader that God has called you to be.
