To go to the next level, to receive the more that God has for you, there is a cost.

It says: For everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required.

Much will be required. Part of this "much" is a cost. There is a cost that is required. The big cost that I found when stepping into the MORE that I was entrusted with, was No. 1: persecution. And that happens because the enemy is angry at the MORE that God is doing through you. So he finds people to try to stop you, to slow you down, or at least get to you, try to get to your heart, take your peace. 

But let me tell you what: when you keep your eyes focused on Jesus and you keep plowing through with what He has called you to do, keep being obedient, the devil can never win. That persecution can never stop the work of God, hinder the work of God. And the cost of persecution is so worth it. It is so worth it! It is so worth the blessing of the promise, of seeing more people be saved, healed and delivered. I tell you from going through it myself: IT IS WORTH IT!! It is worth the cost!

The beauty of the promise fulfilled far outweighs the difficulty of the cost!! The difficulty of going through persecution.

But you need to keep your perspective right. You need to keep your eyes on Jesus. 

This is giving me great perspective of God‘s perfect seasons. The longer the waiting, the more hungry you are going to be. So when the promise finally came, it was at a peak of hunger. I mean I had been so hungry and waiting for 4 1/2 years. And then the promise came and I was filled with so much joy. And then the persecution came - but I had been waiting for so long for the promise, nothing was going to take the joy of this promise fulfilled. Not even the most fierce persecution!
