1 John 2:17
This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever.
Only the ones who do the will of God live forever. Being in God's will is the only place to be. This is the only place where there is contentment, peace, joy, purpose fulfilled and eternal life.
THE ROAD IS NARROW. You can call yourself a Christian but only be doing the will of God sometimes, if this is the case your salvation is not guaranteed. That’s not a good or safe place to be. But when you are truly surrendered, seeking His will, you can be confident you are in His will — as long as you remain humble.
You can step out of His will/make mistakes/hear Him wrong accidentally, and hear His correction and you will go back in His will and you will only be outside of His will temporarily.
When you are humble, pure in heart, and surrendered you can be confident and rest knowing you are in God's will, you can rest knowing if you make a mistake He will help you come back, therefore, you can rest in the certainty of your salvation.
The will of God is perfect. It’s the only place we should strive to be in. We should not go after what society says (the normal ways of society - college, 9-5 job, picket fence, perfect family etc.). Only God’s will, not our parents will and not our own will. Only Gods will!
Jeremiah 17:9
The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?
Our heart is being transformed to be like Jesus, it won’t always be this way (so wicked), but we can’t trust our heart the way we can trust God & His will. It’s deceitful because sometimes you can have a good and beautiful dream but the reason for that dream is because of bad motives (selfishness). You can have a beautiful dream that your parents and friends and society approve of, but that doesn’t mean we can trust our heart. We can only trust God and His will.
Even Jesus didn’t trust His heart over the Father. He said not my will, but Yours be done. His heart didn’t want to be crucified. But above His heart and soul, His spirit wanted God's will. If He followed His heart He wouldn’t have done what God wanted Him to do, so He said not my will but yours be done. That’s how we must live EVERY DAY!
Renew our mind always. What is your will God?
God's will is pure goodness. His will is perfect. There is no fault. The path is perfect even when it doesn’t feel like it. Even when it’s confusing and doesn’t make sense, it’s perfect.
God's will is the only place of contentment. This is the secret to contentment. BE IN GOD'S WILL. That’s why outside of God, people are never content, no matter what they chase and dreams they achieve — they are never content. Contentment can never be found outside of the will of God. Though God's will isn’t always exciting, you will always be content. You were created to be in His will. You are safe and in His hands, this is where eternal life is and the way to the promised land. The most happiness is found in God's will!
People in the world chase after happiness — things that they think are fun are usually things their flesh is gratified in. (Drugs, sex, etc). None of those things are in God's will, God's will is way more fun and exciting and joy filled. This is the truth!
Being in God's will is the only place you will fulfill your purpose.
People try to be purposeful so they will achieve things (family, humanitarian things, career). None of that matters if God isn’t invited into it. Even good things, it must be done for the glory of God!!!! Not just to look good and get recognition and honor or awards or something. All of that should be for the glory of God & to represent Him. “I’m doing this because God sent me to do this, because this is His love for His people.”
In God’s will there are mountains AND valleys
King David said, “even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death” this means God was with Him in the valley which was in the will of God.
Many times God's will is so much fun! The most fun! The greatest joy and contentment! But we need to remember that God's will isn’t always fun!!
Sometimes it’s mundane and uncomfortable! Swallow that truth, and accept it! Say OK Lord whatever it takes, I’ll do it. I won’t complain. I’ll accept it.
Example: children don’t like to brush their teeth or eat veggies, they don’t understand why they have to do this. But it’s their parents' will for them to do this — it’s for their good, to keep them healthy and clean and strong. It’s hard for kids to understand and appreciate why they have to do not fun stuff even if the parents explain why it’s good for them. As teens the same thing happens: going to school, waking up early, discipline, etc., — they don’t appreciate it in the moment, it wasn’t fun. They didn’t understand fully in the moment but once they get older & get a job etc., they REALIZE WHY & APPRECIATE IT! Same thing with us in God's will.
Sometimes we might need to leave our homes. This is not comfortable because your home is comfortable. Sometimes we might need to leave our jobs. It’s not fun, but it’s for our good and that’s where God's will is.
Sometimes going to church isn’t fun, getting up really early or staying up late, long drives to church, or it was a long week etc. — But it is God's will to NEVER NEGLECT coming to the House of God and worship Him and be equipped. You need to receive His power and anointing and miracles to live the life He wants you to have.
There are many people in the Bible that were in God's will where it was not fun - Jonah, Israelites that followed Moses, Abraham, Jesus, the disciples.
Israelites in Exodus: it was the goodness of God to create a need for a miracle. To allow Pharaoh to chase them down. The not enjoyable moment was the goodness of God.
Imagine the feeling Abraham had when he lifted up the sword to kill his only son - not enjoyable! But it was still God's will.
It wasn’t fun for Jesus to be killed. He knew why He was here. He knew the persecution that was coming. Though He was excited and full of joy that we would be saved, it still wasn’t fun to get crucified. But it was Gods will.
The disciples - they were killed for following Jesus and being in Gods will.
John 21:18
Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.
Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God.
The fact they were killed for the sake of Jesus wasn’t a mistake. This was God's will, this is how they would go to heaven. This death was going to glorify God. That wasn’t fun, but it was God's will.
It is very important for us to remember this principle of God's will that it is not always fun. Because God is good and He blesses us with abundant life and peace and joy — it still doesn’t mean that it is always fun every day to be in His will.
It’s important for you to hear this and remember this is because if you don’t know and remember this you won’t stay in God's will. If you stay in this place of “God is good my life will be amazing every day” but God says do this thing but it’s not fun, you will think it’s the devil or the angel of light….
There can be a part of us that isn’t completely surrendered… not fully wanting God's will. Only wanting His will when it’s enjoyable and good for you and comfortable.
Receive this word today! This will guarantee that you will remain in God's will. You will hear His voice clearly, whether it’s fun or not fun.
You have to go through the fire and deny yourself! Persevere. It’s worth it!
Don’t confuse the peace of God with comfort.
Humble yourself. Do not be so prideful and think you have the most amazing discernment. Be real with yourself that you are on this earth and you have flesh and you’re probably not perfected completely into the image of Jesus yet… so just maybe it might be that your flesh doesn’t want to do this thing. Don’t miss God's will because your flesh is saying no.
(God doesn’t want his children in bondage — but sometimes He heals in layers— don’t get this confused, be patient with His timing, have to have this mature understanding, sometimes the waiting could be a part of the not fun part of God's will).
Job 2:10
Shall we indeed accept [only] good from God and not [also] accept adversity and disaster? In [spite of] all this Job did not sin with [words from] his lips.
The bad that happened to Job, was for better.
God doesn’t let bad things happen to us for no reason. The bad thing is really for our good. Even though it seems bad! It’s always for our good! He is pure GOOD! Sometimes the best for us, requires Him to allow bad. Weapons may be formed against us, but they will not prosper. God will allow weapons to be formed but He will not let them prosper. He will only allow it for our good, for us to be blessed more!
Make sure we don’t come questioning when God is calling us to do something that is not fun. Make sure we are better and more humble than this!
Exodus 14:10-14
As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord. They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”
Moses did nothing wrong, they were full of pride questioning God and their leader. We need to learn from this.
The Bible will come alive in this end time revival. Right before the splitting of the sea time in the Bible, and the splitting of the sea time in the Bible, miracles and wonders and the persecution. The great hatred of the devil for His anointed, that’s going to happen.
There will be a temptation to be like the Israelites to be questioning Apostle Kathryn in this revival. What the Israelites were saying - did you really hear from God? Where are you taking us? Trust God. Trust where He has planted you. Trust when things don’t make sense. Even when you don’t understand and when it’s not always fun. Stay humble. Trust His leadership!
2 Timothy 4:2
Proclaim the Word of God and stand upon it no matter what! Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit —with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people.
We need to be ready to do the work of God!
Be ready to run when you want to walk
Prepare yourself
Be ready when there is persecution
1 Peter 3:17
For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.
Persecution is injustice.
God will give you victory after victory, release His fruits through you, but there will also be persecution.
It’s not fun being misunderstood and when people falsely accuse you. Some people will never know the truth. We need to be OK with this injustice. We have to get over it.
Accept this not fun part! We will forever be falsely accused by some people. But it will never stop God's will for our lives. It will never stop God from doing miracles in our lives and fruits being shown through us. But we need to accept this. Don’t be down and annoyed by it, don’t try to resist it and prove yourself and be distracted by it. Accept it! Jesus is worth it!
Philippians 4:11
I'm not telling you this because I'm in need, for I have learned to be satisfied in any circumstance.
The secret to being content is to have one passion & one desire: TO PLEASE JESUS! TO TOUCH HIS HEART! To be in His will!
It comes with persecution and being uncomfortable. BUT if you were somewhere else doing something fun but not in God's will, then you would be miserable. So you’re content because you’re in His will even though it’s not always fun!
Go deeper, make a covenant with Him. Really surrender. “Take me through what you need to take me through. May I accept it and never complain.”
When you are in the not fun times, remember this is the only path to the promised land. It makes it more bearable. Not fun, but exciting. Remember this spiritual truth.
When you go through hard things you never went through, God is going to bless you in ways He never did before. It’s not for nothing. He is faithful. Answered prayers are on this path. Your purpose being fulfilled is on this path. Above all, pleasing God is on this path.
The greatest intimacy you can have with God is being in God's will. In the not fun times. The secret place. Going through something hard no one sees, out of your love for God you don’t complain. You thank Him, and tell Him you trust Him. I love you Lord, I’ll do this and even more.
When you obey God, He provides miracles and blessings and double for your trouble. God provided a lamb because of Abraham's obedience.
If he didn’t obey he would’ve been out of His will. When you’re out of God's will, that’s not where blessing is, life eternal, or intimacy with God is. Obey the will of God and He will provide a lamb for you (a blessing).
Exodus 14:13
But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever.
Moses responded so humbly and encouraged them to stay calm when they were complaining against him.
It's not fun to not defend yourself.
It’s not fun when people think wrongly of you.
But God refines you through it and reveals the truth through you if you can be obedient and humble!
