Matthew 5:6

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled

Hungering for the more of God! The baptism of the Holy Spirit! Abundant life! When you hunger for these things, God will be faithful to fill you. It’s simple.

Psalm 107:9

For he satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with good things

To be filled by God, we must be hungry and thirsty! This is how we receive from God.

To be spiritually hungry means to have desire to receive from God and faith that God is about to do something in your life (healing, impartation, encounter, whatever it is - just more of Him!)

How to be hungry (the key to receive):

1st key: If you’re full, empty yourself. He fills the hungry, He doesn’t fill the full. 

What can you be full of? Worldly carnal things, relationships that are carnal that take up energy and time that God hasn’t called you to be in —  so it takes up space. You can be full of carnal activities and carnal entertainment and filling the void of God with other things that take your attention (ex. social media).

Sometimes you feel bored or lonely. What that is, is a hunger, but we want to make that hunger be a spiritual hunger rather than a hunger for anything you can find quickly to fill it. What many people do is they are lazy and they find the void and they search for the quick fix. So you need to identify where you are filling yourself with the wrong things, where it’s taking your time/energy and it’s draining, then your day is so full you don’t even have time for church or to pray or to spend time with God, so you just go through the motions. You tune into Sunday service then go back to filling yourself with worldly things. Empty yourself of what is taking the place of God. Get to this place of hunger and emptiness so God can fill you with Himself!

God is raising up weak and foolish vessels that are usually discounted and seen as strange. He is choosing these vessels just as He chose David and the disciples who were fishermen! People with a bad past, average Joes. That’s who God is using now. This is the new wine!

The new wine will come forth from these vessels. But if you’re full of old wine, you can’t receive the new wine. The old wineskin cannot be flexible when you put new wine into it, so it will break and the new wine will spill. Empty yourself out! (Skeptical/critical thinking). That will hold you back.

2nd key how to be hungry: see in the spiritual realm - allow God to open up your spiritual eyes, then the hunger will come.

We usually get hungry 3-4 hours after eating, right? Maybe it’s been a few hours since you’ve eaten and you’re not hungry at all, but then you walk into a house that prepared delicious food and it smells and looks so good, and all of a sudden you’re starving! When you can SEE, then you will be hungry. When you see what God has prepared for you, for you to receive the most amazing spiritual nourishment, you get hungry!

So, you need to see in the spiritual realm for the hunger to come. The eyes communicate with spiritual hunger, just like with food when you see it, it communicates to your stomach.

Exodus 33:20

You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live

In the Old Testament, there wasn’t this direct contact with God. There needed to be a priest to go on your behalf - anointed, chosen by God, so purified and consecrated - so that they were prepared to enter the presence of God, when they went into the holy of holies, they wouldn’t die. If a regular person went into the holy of holies, they would die because the presence of God is so strong.

But Jesus changed this! No need for a mediator now. The Holy Spirit is inside of us. We are with God always. As close as we can get!

When you see God, your physical body cannot take it - it’s too much glory.

In the spiritual realm, when you see someone fall down with the power of God, it’s because their physical body can’t take the presence of God, now we don’t die, but our carnal nature dies when we see God. When a person comes to the house of God where the anointing is, and they believe they will receive and have faith, that is the action of seeing in the spiritual realm. You are seeing in the spiritual realm!

This isn’t just any church, the power of God is in this church! This isn’t any Sunday service, this is revival breaking out! This isn’t just another Sunday, it’s the day of my deliverance, a day that will change my life forever! A divine appointment with God! I’m not just sitting here in the congregation listening, no - this is my divine appointment with God! As if it was just me and Him!

This revelation is living in the truth. It’s more real than the physical. Just as you see the streets and lights, you’re seeing God in the spiritual realm. This is how hunger will come. When you see God spiritually, the carnal nature will diminish and your spirit will rise and you will behold the glory of God!

When someone is skeptical, most likely they won’t fall back with the power of God and receive miracles, because there’s no place for God to put anything, no hunger, because they aren’t seeing in the spiritual realm.

When you believe you will receive, many times that person will fall back with the power of God - experiencing the glory of God! So much power you can’t even stand!

You don’t need to fall back to have an encounter. Apostle Kathryn only fell back 1 time. It’s an example of how we can really see what’s happening when someone sees God - their carnal nature can’t stand it. This can be receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit - overtaking your tongue and you can’t control speaking in tongues and your carnal nature is gone for a moment.

Sometimes there is that physical example (tongues, falling back). But many times you won’t feel anything but you are still receiving because your empty and God has somewhere to put it. You have received just as much as someone who did feel something.

How do we see in the spirit & have hunger? Desire to be in the spirit more than in the natural world!

Acts 2:1-6

On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled, all the disciples were gathered in one place. Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear! Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them. They were all filled and equipped with the Holy Spirit and were inspired to speak in tongues—empowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned!“ Now, at that time there were Jewish worshipers who had emigrated from many different lands to live in Jerusalem. When the people of the city heard the roaring sound, crowds came running to where it was coming from, stunned over what was happening, because each one could hear the disciples speaking in his or her own language.

Acts 2:13

But others poked fun at them and said, “They’re just drunk on new wine.”

They were appearing to be drunk - overcome with what they received from the Holy Spirit. They were so much in the spiritual realm that they weren’t aware of their surroundings! They were looking goofy! 😂

Desire to be more in the spirit than in the natural - to receive like the day of Pentecost! Don’t care about your surroundings and how people see you and how you look

1 Samuel 1:10-15

Hannah was greatly distressed, and she prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. She made a vow, saying, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction (suffering) of Your maidservant and remember, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life; a razor shall never touch his head.” Now it happened as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli was watching her mouth. Hannah was speaking in her heart (mind); only her lips were moving, and her voice was not heard, so Eli thought she was drunk. Eli said to her, “How long will you make yourself drunk? Get rid of your wine.” But Hannah answered, “No, my Lord, I am a woman with a despairing spirit. I have not been drinking wine or any intoxicating drink, but I have poured out my soul before the Lord.

Eli thought she was drunk. Hannah knew her prayers carried power! She believed she would receive the miracle as she asked! She was completely in the spiritual realm, full of faith!

Stop caring about being dignified.

Falling down with the power of God is undignified & it’s a beautiful humbling thing that God does!

To be speaking in tongues sounds like gibberish and foolish to some people, we don’t care. By us receiving God's power, eyes open up to God's reality and His love and power and they will receive faith. It’s not just about you receiving, but how God can use your testimony to touch others and lift faith in so many people around the world.

This is the kind of heart we should have. Ready to be undignified! We don’t care how we look! We just want to receive from God!

Get out of your head, it’s carnal to be thinking how people will see you! Put your eyes to Jesus and say Lord have your way!! Whatever it looks like!!

3rd key how to be hungry & see in the spirit:

Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

To see in the spirit is to be transformed. To see in the spirit is not poof 💨 one day you just see. It comes by you doing your part of renewing your mind, as you renew your mind, God transforms you. You become more like Jesus. As you keep renewing your mind, transformation happens.

God has something special planned for the Flourish conference - God has spoken! It is going to be like the day of Pentecost, as we come together in unity and one accord, God will honor it! He will release His spirit and bring freedom and impartation of anointing. This is what God has spoken! This will happen so you can flourish in your purpose and calling!

It’s not the leader's hope, not what the leader wants. It’s GOD SPEAKING! Renew your mind with this word of God. God speaks through Apostles and Prophets! He’s still speaking today! Renew your mind with the word!

If Jesus came to you face to face and said I’m going to release my spirit upon you like never before on April 26th & 27th  at the conference, this is my present day of Pentecost! If Jesus spoke that, how would you be acting right now?! You would be so hungry and excited!

Be expectant for God to pour out His Spirit!

Read stories from the gospels and the book of Acts! Jesus really delivers all who will come to Him! Read testimonies on Apostle Kathryn’s page! Watch them! Renew your mind! I am going to be delivered! I am going to receive impartation! God wants to anoint me in His power! All who believe these signs shall follow! Renew your mind with the word of God!

Be undignified and receive!

The way transformation takes place is by you obeying God. Don’t just go through the motions. Really read it! When you read it, remember this is the truth — not the lies I was believing in my head.

So you go from thinking wrongly and forgetting the truth, and then you go from thinking rightly! When you obey God, you go into the word of God, that’s the action of giving Him permission to take His hands upon your heart and transform you to be more spiritual and be like Him. It’s not about feeling it. It’s simply about obeying.

If you are not naturally patient, but God asks you to be patient to someone, and then you are out of obedience, immediately you’ve just changed. God has put His hand on your heart and made your heart more patient and rewarded you. So because of that obedience you are transformed. You won’t be the same.

So you want to see in the spirit? Get in the word of God and renew your mind and meditate on it. Meditate on it every day - not just when you’re reading. In the car etc. Wherever you go! Bring to remembrance the word of God. (Written and spoken word of God).

Every time you bring it to remembrance it’s the action of God wiping away the carnal mindset and reinforcing the spiritual truth, it becomes stronger and it stays. You keep doing that and then you get to the point where you don't even have to try to think spiritually, it comes naturally! 

You won’t even need to renew your mind because you’re living in the truth and seeing in the spirit! This is THE BIGGEST KEY how to see in the spirit and therefore be hungry and ready to receive from God - renew your mind to the truth, bring it to remembrance, meditate on it, speak it out loud. It’s not about a feeling. It will transcend to your soul and body! It’s about obedience, and then the feelings will follow!

4th key how to be in the spirit and receive and be hungry:

Acts 17:10-11

That night the believers sent Paul and Silas off to the city of Berea, where they once again went into the synagogue. They found that the Jews of Berea were of more noble character and much more open minded than those of Thessalonica. They were hungry to learn and eagerly received the word. Every day they opened the scrolls of Scripture to search and examine them, to verify that what Paul taught them was true.

We want to be like the people of Berea. Not everyone is going to be like you, especially in the beginning stages of this revival. The Pharisees were completely missing out, they were also calling Jesus false. Be aware of this, there will be people who will not be like you and not understand why you’re so passionate about this revival, etc. so we need to understand this & not let it get to us! Have this desire for God to see us the way God and Paul saw the people of Berea — that we are of noble character, that we are spiritual, pure, humble, different, set apart and hungry! Ready to receive!

“They may call me crazy, but they can’t take Him from me”

We got to be okay with being a Jesus freak!

Crazy wild for Jesus!!!  Hallelujah unashamed and undignified!!! Let us be different and wild!! Let us be on fire! Let us capture the attention of Heaven with the way that Jesus burns in our heart! God will see us and He will come and pour His spirit upon us! He will honor this hunger. There is such a great reward for hunger! This is what’s coming this coming weekend!

You will receive like never before!

Ephesians 3:20

Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.

He will exceed your expectations. Just believe! Come hungry and be changed forever!

Jesus, I’m ready, I’m hungry, I see you, I believe in you & in your power to heal me, to deliver me, to anoint me, I receive it all!
