Today is part two of last week’s message, The Catalyst for Revival. I shared how the catalyst for revival is hunger. When we hunger for God, then God can move. “He fills the hungry with good things” (Psalm 107:9). God wants to move more than we want Him to move. But He needs us to be hungry so He can fill us. Hunger is the catalyst, and we’re in a season right now where God is preparing us for a shift in His revival: a great shift. He is preparing us to receive so mightily from Him like never before, at our modern-day divine appointment, our day-of-Pentecost moment, May 22 and 23, at the Ignite Conference. This is our third annual conference. At the first one, Flourish, you were delivered from stagnancy and barrenness so you could flourish. At the second one, Arise and Shine, the light of Jesus came upon you so you could shine brightly and lead others into the Kingdom. This year, we are going to another level, to receive more light, more fire—to be ignited. Some of you are on fire, but you are going to be ignited to a whole other level you didn't know was possible. 

On the day of Pentecost, the disciples were hungry for God. They gathered together in one place, and that is when God poured out His spirit. They were baptized in fire and they started speaking in tongues, and that immediately led to revival breaking out. When Peter preached the word of God and people heard the tongues, that fire couldn’t be contained. The fire they received in the upper room on the day of Pentecost touched and overflowed out of them and touched thousands of people. Three thousand came to Jesus in one day! And I prophesy that we will see thousands come, in a very short amount of time, after what God releases at the Ignite conference. And it will happen through you, like on the day of Pentecost, when the fire spread not only because God was moving through Peter preaching, but also through the people speaking in tongues and overflowing with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Heaven was exploding out of people. For some of you, heaven is trickling out of you, but it’s time for it to be an overflow—a waterfall, a jetstream out of you! And this is going to lead to thousands, to millions of people’s eyes opening up to Jesus—to His love and power, and stepping into revival.

Last week I shared how to be hungry, how to receive like they did on the day of Pentecost, how to receive the fire of the Holy Spirit: get in the upper room. Respond to God’s call to come to where He’s releasing His fire. Because there are certain divine appointments where God will call His people together, in one place, in unity. And upon that obedience, that sacrifice, He moves powerfully. We need to be alert to the corporate word of God. Many of you have received deliverance and healing because I and others heard the corporate call of God, through a true prophet, that revival is now. It wasn’t random. God has called us to all come in person, to unite together in His move—not in separate moves—but in His big move happening now. He spoke it for Flourish, He spoke it for Arise and Shine, and He’s speaking it again now for the Ignite conference here in LA, where He has specifically planned to release His Spirit, His fire, His anointing so mightily. It will be life-changing for everyone who comes, and more importantly, it will be life-changing for this revival, collectively, with all of your lives changed and set on fire. People will receive Jesus and they will come into revival because of what He will release corporately to all of us collectively.

To be hungry, first make the action to go where God is telling you to go to receive the fire. Second, make a sacrifice. Being hungry is uncomfortable. When you’re physically hungry, you’re uncomfortable. So being hungry is not about feelings. You don’t have to be sad and think, “Why don’t I feel hungry? I have to feel hungry.” It’s not about feelings; it’s about your actions. So to be hungry, make a sacrifice. For many of you coming, traveling here, God is calling you to make a sacrifice, and that is how hunger is going to grow in you so you can receive what God has for you. 

This revival broke out through a woman who traveled from across the US, from the East Coast. She traveled because she saw a video that had started to go viral a couple months prior. She said she saw Jesus as she watched the video, and then God was calling her to come—to travel, to get on a plane and come to our church service in the park. She brought a friend as well. There were only about twenty people at that time, and I knew the principle of hunger. I will never forget that day. Driving on Beverly Boulevard, I can picture my hands on the steering wheel, and I remember talking to God and saying, “God, this woman is traveling from across the US today.” There was also another woman that traveled across the US, and we had never had that happen before, so it was a total of four people in one day. I said, “God, what are you going to do today?” Because I know the principle of hunger. Them making the sacrifice and traveling is extreme hunger, especially because there were just twenty of us in our humble little set-up at the park. I was so expectant!

I might have fainted if I really knew what God was about to do. That woman needed deliverance so I prayed for her. And for the first time, a demon manifested through a person when I prayed for them. I had never seen that happen in my four years of ministry at that point. A demon manifested and spoke out of her, “I don’t want her to preach!” By the way, that reveals a scheme of the devil to try to silence half of the population. So praise God for that exposure to open eyes. That was the first deliverance, and the demon was saying that. So I commanded the demon to go and the demon left. Jesus set that woman free. Praise God. Then a video of her deliverance went viral, and people started flocking to 5F. 

Soon after, I was invited to be on a podcast, and there were a lot of people watching. The one interviewing me said, “You guys need to get there if you can. If you are in California, go. Go. This is exciting, what God is doing.” He was acknowledging revival. And that next Sunday, in May, two months after the deliverance, we grew from fifty people to three hundred. We were in an amphitheater in the park, and it was overflowing with people. And deliverance was happening everywhere, and we were rejoicing wildly, so full of joy. None of us there had ever seen God move like that, and the rest is history. 

Revival broke out from there. We have always had about three hundred or so every week since that day. And people started traveling from other countries and nations almost immediately, every single week. I want you to understand how it started: with hunger. That woman’s hunger—not just a hunger to encounter God, but a deeper hunger of making the action and the sacrifice to get on a plane and to come in person, to do what doesn’t make sense to other people—was a catalyst for revival. We had the most humble set-up, outside, with twenty people. I never could have imagined that people would travel to come to a church unless it was like a flashy megachurch or something. I didn’t imagine that, but that was my prayer. I prayed, “Lord, I don’t want fake people to come to our church.” I want the main reason that people end up coming to our church to be because they want to encounter You; they really want You; that their motive for coming to church isn’t to show off their clothes or to find a spouse or to flirt or find friends, but that their main motive would be to encounter Jesus. That was my prayer, and God has done it, praise God! 

That woman’s hunger was a catalyst for revival. And anyone else who came in those early days: you are history makers! Your hunger ignited revival! If you weren’t there with hunger, all of these people wouldn’t be here today. All of these people that moved here wouldn’t be here today. You are powerful in Christ! Praise God! You go down in history. We’ll have a museum, and we’ll have a picture of you all, of how your hunger ignited revival! That’s powerful.

You don’t realize the power that you carry when you hunger for more of God, and what God can do with that. There’s a video that shows that day, May 31, 2021, where it was just constant miracles taking place for a whole hour. I edited it myself and put it on YouTube, and it has 530,000 views now, glory to God! So your hunger led to 530,00 people or so encountering Jesus through the screen and their eyes opening up to revival, that God is moving in power. That’s powerful! Praise God!

This is also so powerful because of the number. There were 300 that came that day, and do you know the story of Gideon? He had an army of 32,000 people, but God said, “I want it to be smaller.” Because God wanted to make sure it was known that it was by God’s power that they would have victory, where people would say, “It’s only God!” because of the small number. So God dwindled down the army from 32,000 to 300. A mere 300! And they had the victory. That’s a powerful prophetic number. Praise God! That’s what God is still doing today because He wants to get all the glory. He wants it to be seen, through all the persecution, that “This can only be God!” when the victory comes, when this lifting for God’s glory has come, and this continual growth and expansion of revival has come. 

We made a little video recently. It was a moment that happened almost two years ago now: a little boy came with such hunger for his mom to know Jesus. There have been 6.5 million views of this video, and the comments are so touching. There are thousands of comments, of people who felt the love of God. God used this boy, his faith and his heart for his mom, to touch people, and you can see how God used this video to wake people up, to open their eyes and shape them to be more compassionate. This morning, Elva shared something with me that I did not know. That is her nephew. And this past Sunday, her nephew came again with his mom, who is Elva’s sister. Elva has hungered for her family to encounter, and her nephew accepted the invitation to come here. And he came and wanted prayer, and God moved upon the prayer. Not just that, but his mom came last week and God touched her, praise God! But it doesn’t end there. Almost 7 million people were touched by God as well, through the video, because of one person's hunger. 

I’m so excited about the Ignite conference! What if every single one of you came hungry?! What kind of catalyst would that be for revival igniting like we’ve never seen? A catalyst of revival for you personally, for your family, for your community, for your city, and for your nation with the fire you bring back! 

So, how to be hungry? First of all, sacrifice. Make a sacrifice. Those of you who aren’t traveling, make a financial sacrifice to contribute to this revival. There is a way to donate tickets if you’d like to donate for people who can’t afford it. The tickets are actually a very small portion of the total cost of the event, and we also need to raise funds for this conference. So if you can afford to contribute in this way, especially those of you in LA, this is a part for you to play and make a sacrifice to receive more hunger in your heart to receive from God.

The second way to be more hungry is to stay focused: stay focused on what God has spoken to you, on the truth. Stay focused on the revelations God has revealed to you. Because a lot of people around you do not have the same revelations. 

For example, a couple of people started flying every week to be at 5F Sunday services. And when I shared that they were doing this, I said, “I know there are other people that God is calling.” And Raquel heard God speak to her through that word, and now there are a couple of others from Colorado who have been coming multiple times a month ever since that word. These testimonies have to go forth and God’s word has to go forth like this because what’s going on in the mind? Logic! Angel of light wisdom! “That’s a waste of money. You can watch online.” But God will speak these revelations sometimes. He will speak these words, so if you hear this, you need to know, “God has spoken to me.” And sometimes it’s coming as a confirmation. And you need to know, “God has spoken this to me. This is my burning bush. I’m not going to listen to anyone else who wasn’t there at the burning bush. I saw the burning bush. I heard God through the burning bush.” 

You have to protect that revelation and stay focused on that revelation, on what God has called you to do. Don’t forget what God has called you to do. You need to understand that the devil will fight what he knows will transform you. He knows the principles of God. He knows that God is doing modern-day Pentecost divine appointment gatherings. He knows where the anointing is. He knows the prophetic words coming forth. The devil is terrified about what God is going to do at the Ignite Conference. So you have to be aware in the spiritual realm about the fight, of how the devil really does not want you to receive more from God. He does not want you to receive the fire of the Holy Spirit. He does not want you to receive impartation. He doesn’t want you to be around other believers where you explode with fire, with all these people on fire that’s overflowing out of them and makes it come unto you, on top of the anointing being released. The devil doesn’t want that. 

You need to be aware of this, people of God. You need to be aware that we are in a spiritual war. And when God has this divine appointment prepared for you, when He wants to release more upon you and it’s public, there are prophetic words about it, the devil knows. And he’ll try to fight it. So you have to be aware, because the devil will try to fight it often, coming with lies as an angel of light. Lies like, “You don’t need to go. Maybe they’ll release it later online. You can watch it later. You received powerfully at other times online.” But God wants you there, in person. There’s more He’s going to release upon you as you come in person. 

Or maybe things are a struggle. It feels like doors are shutting. You don’t see a door opening, yet it’s a fight, and you think, “I guess this is a sign. I guess God's just not opening this door.” 

You need to know that when God speaks something, He has really spoken it. Don’t second guess and question it later. The devil will try to come like this, and it’ll sound like wisdom. He’ll try to come in this false humility way sometimes. So you have to be aware: when God speaks something, don’t forget what He has spoken, what He’s directed you to do.

For some people, maybe they were denied visas. In those cases, this is your refining fire. You have to keep fighting. Maybe it won’t even be for this year, but you fought the good fight until you did everything you could. Maybe it will be next year. But it’s because you fought the good fight this year that the breakthrough will happen. I’m speaking this to people online because I know some of you want to be here more than anything and you’re trying so hard, but you didn’t get a visa and it’s out of your control. Don’t feel bad about it, because there’s a special grace for you. God is using this as a refining fire for you. We all have different journeys, we all have different walks, and we all have different battles. If you live in LA, it’s obviously going to be easier for you to come to the conference than someone who is in another nation who has to get a visa. So the refining fire of people in LA and the battles they have to go through look different.

You have to understand spiritually so you don’t get discouraged. The point is: believe and fight the good fight of faith. Believe, believe, believe, “God wants me there.” Yes, He wants you there. Even if you’ve tried everything you could and it’s not until next year, there will be a special grace for you to receive online after the fact. We won’t be live, but we will post it after the fact. And you can receive online powerfully. There will be a special grace for you because you did everything you could to be there. But when God is calling you to be there and you’re not making an effort, you’re not knocking on doors, that grace doesn’t extend to you. Knock on the door! God will answer. God will open it. You’ll be amazed. 

There will be a fight. When I received the prophecy for my calling, when I first met Prophet GeorDavie, he was ministering at a conference in LA. I drove to the conference with a friend who had invited me. I put the address in my GPS. I know I put the right address, but the GPS took me somewhere else. I then put the address in the GPS again. This time it took me somewhere else, to the wrong church. At this point, I knew it was spiritual warfare. I put in the address a third time and it took me to the right place. That had never happened in my life. And it happened two times back-to-back that day. The devil knew the anointing in Prophet GeorDavie, and he was terrified of anybody that was going to come to that event. And maybe he even knew my heart. I had recently surrendered to God, so maybe he was even especially scared for me to be there. It was a fight for me to get there in person to receive the prophecy and the anointing that changed my life forever, and that’s why we’re all here now. The angel of light could have spoken, “Maybe it’s not meant to be. This is a sign to not go. This is God’s protection.” 

This is why you have to be aware and know what God has spoken and be confident in what God has spoken. Don’t listen to Pharisees. Don’t listen to other people. Know what God spoke to you.

We’re going to continue next Sunday with how to be hungry. This is a great preparation like never before. I believe this is a sign that you all are going to be hungrier than ever before for this day of Pentecost divine appointment coming, which means you are going to receive like never before. The hungrier you are, the more you will receive!
