Eyes That See God
This message was shared by Apostle Kathryn Krick Lead Pastor/Apostle of 5F Church in Los Angeles, CA, on November 17, 2025. To watch the full video, scroll to the bottom of this post. We pray this teaching blesses you and equips you to walk as a powerful vessel of God.
Today you’re going to learn how to have eyes that see and recognize God. God’s main way of touching His people—of releasing His power that brings miracles, healing, and deliverance; of equipping and spiritually feeding His people—is by putting His power in vessels and moving through His vessels. This is what we see from the Old Testament to the New Testament. It’s what we see in Elijah and Elisha: God using them in power to bring healing to people, to raise people from the dead, and to do all sorts of wonders for God’s people. This is what we see through Moses: God used Moses, His power in him, and used Moses to deliver millions of His people by His power, with signs and wonders and miracles.
We see that God’s way of using vessels in His power to touch His people, to pour into His people, did not stop in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, we see with Apostle Peter. It says that “all who came under his shadow”—all who were in the presence of where he was ministering—“all were healed and delivered” (Acts 5:15-16). ALL. We see with Apostle Paul: “They would bring handkerchiefs and aprons to his skin” (Acts 19:11) because his body carried anointing. They would touch his body, and then put the handkerchiefs and aprons on the sick and demon-oppressed, and demons would leave and the sick would be healed. This is in the New Testament. So we see that this is God’s main way of releasing miracles and of equipping His people.
We see in the Book of Acts that “the people were devoted to the teachings of the apostles” (Acts 2:42). As they were devoted, this led to them growing spiritually—to their spiritual eyes being opened up more, to them knowing God and the kingdom of God more. Because God releases this special anointing and grace to five-fold ministers to break down the word of God and to bring revelation to the word of God.
So God’s way of speaking to His people, of equipping His people, is through the word of God: as you read it, but also as you hear it. As you hear teachings, you can understand, “This is what the word of God is saying. This is what God is saying in the word.” Because, as we know, you can have different revelations of the word of God that are wrong, like the Pharisees did. The Pharisees knew the word of God so well, but they weren’t hearing from God as they read the word of God. So as you devote yourselves to teachings through your spiritual leader, this is how you get the right revelation, how you hear God, as you read the word of God yourself. You receive that spiritual food that you need, that equipping.
It’s so important for believers to understand the importance of receiving from servants of God. In the body of Christ today, so many do not realize this important truth, this important way of God: how He moves in power. They see church as something casual. They view listening to messages as something casual, not as something serious that they need. So they listen to messages casually; they go to any church they feel like, choosing a church in a carnal way based on personal preferences: a certain type of music maybe, a certain type of people, of culture, or of dress, rather than choosing a church spiritually—rather than choosing a church because they are looking in the spiritual realm, walking with the Holy Spirit, hearing from the Holy Spirit, “This is where I’m calling you to be planted, because when you are planted here you will be fed spiritually through the teachings of the spiritual leader or leaders, and as you are planted here you will receive the anointing upon your life that you need to bring you healing, deliverance, protection, impartation, because the servants of God here really actually carry my anointing, so plant yourself here.” That’s how you should choose a church: in the spirit, looking in the spirit, seeing the importance of it.
It is so important that you are getting revelation from the Holy Spirit about His servants, that you are getting revelation, “This is a true servant of God.” It’s so important that you are seeing servants of God properly, rightly—not casually, and not with a carnal view. There are a lot of people who think that servants of God are being influenced by the devil, just like the Pharisees thought. They think wrongly about servants of God, calling servants of God from the devil, calling them false prophets, saying all kinds of things, just like they were saying about Jesus. So you have to know the great importance of not listening to the wrong voices when it comes to speaking about servants of God.
Matthew 10:40
Jesus said, “Anyone who receives you, receives me.”
Jesus’ disciples, who He anointed, were servants of God. Jesus had commissioned them to carry His anointing, to equip His people, and to release His power to His people. So He said, “Anyone who receives you receives me.” God’s way of touching His people, of feeding His people, of releasing miracles upon His people, is by using His servants as vessels. So you have to receive a servant of God if you want to receive all that God has for you. God says, in the Gospel of Matthew, in the New Testament, “As you receive this servant of God, you receive me.” So you have to have this right revelation of servants of God so that you are able to receive them—really receive them, really see them rightly, and see them how God sees them.
Matthew 27:50-54
And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people. When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Sure, he was the Son of God!”
These people were people who crucified Jesus, had persecuted Jesus, and were thinking wrongly about Him. They were thinking he was a false prophet, using demons to cast out demons, that he was a warlock. But now, after they had crucified him, they could see that He is the Son of God.
In today’s time, there are many people like this who are persecuting Jesus in His revival. They are persecuting Jesus in His servants, not having the revelation that servants of God are truly from God. You have to be aware of this, that the Bible repeats itself, that there are many people out there who do not have the true revelation of God moving upon this earth. You have to make sure that you do not let their words pollute your ears and affect your ability to receive God, to receive a servant of God, so that you may receive God through the servant of God.
So many people are held back from receiving from God because of what they have heard about servants of God. Any servant of God who is anointed will experience great persecution coming towards them, just like Jesus did. People said many false accusations about Jesus, and this will happen to every true servant of God. Something that is really holding people back is that they hear these wrong words, these lies about servants of God, and they listen to them instead of rejecting them, and they allow skepticism to enter them. When they do that, they are blocking themselves from receiving from God.
It’s important that we take this very seriously, to think, “I want to receive everything God has for me. I must protect my heart. I must guard it and guard my mind and my ears so that nothing impure, no Pharisee voices or schemes of the devil can ever enter me and keep me from receiving from God.”
Matthew 16:13-19
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked, “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Here, Peter had a true revelation of who Jesus was. He had this revelation from the Holy Spirit of who Jesus was, while others did not. Because of this, Peter was able to receive more from God, to receive more impartation of anointing and to receive the keys of the kingdom. It’s important for you to have revelation from the Holy Spirit.
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
When you have knowledge of God, of really who God is, then you will have understanding. You need to have revelation from the Holy Spirit to have understanding here on this earth: to see where God is moving, to see who is a true servant of God, to not miss God’s ways, to not miss His word coming forth in your life, to not miss the miracles He wants to release to you. You have to have revelation to have this understanding.
Where does this revelation come from? How does this revelation come? The Bible says, “The pure in heart shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). Jesus often talks about the Pharisees having impure hearts. An impure heart is a heart with pride, judgement, and skepticism. It can also include jealousy, not caring about hurting people, not having the passion for God, being okay with evil, treating it casually and lightly to speak evil about somebody and to lead people astray.
But a pure heart fears God. A pure heart has reverence for God. A pure heart wants to please God. A pure heart is so careful to always please God and to be in His will and to never want to disappoint Him. A pure heart studies God’s heart. A pure heart makes the intention to see how God sees, to see people how God sees them. A pure heart takes the time to get to know God’s heart rather than just going through the religious motions.
When you have a pure heart, you meditate and spend time in the word, not just to check off your list (“I’ve read the Bible!”) but to really hear God’s voice and to get to know His heart. A pure heart humbles themselves and listens to teachings that God is sending forth through the servant of God that God is calling them to be under. And they listen carefully, thinking, “I need more understanding of God’s heart. I need this. I need to grow. I need to become more like Him. I need more of this understanding.” So you listen carefully! You come like a child, thinking, “This is my time to learn. This is my time to receive. I need this word.” And then you don’t stop there: you listen again. You apply what you have learned from the teaching into your life. You make the intention to apply these principles in your life. That’s a pure heart that is after God’s heart.
When you have a pure heart, you are so consumed with knowing God and pleasing Him that you shut the door to all of the schemes of the devil trying to get you to be carnal.
It’s not hard to have a pure heart. It’s not hard to get to know God, to have an understanding of God and His heart. You have to make the choice though to really BE AFTER HIS HEART. You have to make that intention, that decision.
It’s not enough to just have the Holy Spirit. Many people think that because they’re a Christian, God is just automatically going to lead them in His will and into the truth. But the Bible says, “God directs the steps of the righteous man (or woman)” (Psalms 37:23). Not, “God directs the steps of anyone who calls themselves a Christian.” This means that God directs the steps of a pure-hearted child of God. God directs the steps of the person who truly wants to be in God’s will, who truly wants God’s will more than what they want. God will direct the steps of that person. But when you’re wishy-washy and you haven’t surrendered everything, and deep down you want something more than you want God’s will, it will be easy for the devil to deceive you.
The pure in heart shall see God. The impure in heart will be confused.
The impure in heart will think that the devil’s voice is God. Peter had a pure heart. He had a greater revelation. He could see God in Jesus. Where the others had a limited revelation, he could see it all.
It’s not enough to have the Holy Spirit as a Christian. When you confess that Jesus is your Lord and your Savior, the Holy Spirit fills you. The Holy Spirit comes upon every person who truly confesses that Jesus is Lord and their Savior and believes it in their heart. But it’s not enough to have the Holy Spirit. You must yield to the Holy Spirit. You must yield to the Holy Spirit so that He can give you revelation. And then you will have understanding of God and His ways.
A very prophetic testimony was shared yesterday. One of our 5F members from Australia shared it on her story. In summary, she said that the enemy almost had her believing the lies that she saw online about God’s move: lies that were spoken against me and against 5F. She wrote, “It was a brief period of skepticism and those feelings were so negative that I began to actually allow confusion into my mind. The more I watched those ‘Exposed’ videos, the more confused I became. I was listening to modern-day Pharisees who weren’t open to revival and who had their minds made up about this move of God. They thought it was the opposite of what it truly is. They sounded so sure, and they really acted like they knew the Bible. But I was never drawn closer to Jesus by their words or their ministries at all. They didn’t change me or feed me spiritually. They just fed me with skepticism and I remained stagnant. I felt disappointed.” So at the same time as she was tuning into 5F Church, she was struggling as she listened to these voices. And she wrote, “Then the Holy Spirit reminded me of how I was growing spiritually as I tuned in to 5F teachings and I compared it to when I wasn’t. It was night and day. He will make the truth clear to those who have eyes to see.” And she also says, “This is something that is personal. It’s not for people to tell you what to do.” Glory to God!
In the Bible Jesus warns people that there are false prophets. He says, “You will know them by their fruits” (Matthew 7:16). When He says this, He means: When you have a pure heart and you are childlike and humble—you just want God’s will to be done, you just want Jesus, you want more of Jesus in your life, and that’s all you want, you don’t have other agendas, you just want Jesus—you will have revelation, like Peter did, and you will have understanding. You will be able to see: “This is God, this is not God.” You will see true fruits and what are not fruits. And it’s really supposed to be that simple—that every person would make that decision, led by the Holy Spirit, of where to be planted, where to receive from; that it would be personal, that the Holy Spirit would guide you based on what He has shown you about fruits: fruits in a servant of God’s life, fruits in a ministry.
This woman was experiencing good changes happening in her life when she was listening to the teachings here. Glory to God! She experienced transformation. She experienced miracles in her life, peace and joy. And when she was listening to these people that are the modern-day Pharisees, she was not experiencing that. She was not experiencing fruits. Actually, she was experiencing confusion and being skeptical.
Those things are not from God. God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). And the Bible says that God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has given us peace. He has given us a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). He has given us a supernatural mind of Christ that has great understanding, that can hear from God, that can discern and see God and what is not of God, clearly and without confusion.
The Pharisees were pointing fingers at Jesus and they were trying to shape Him into being somebody spooky and creepy. “He has a demon!” they would say. “He is using demons to cast out demons (Matthew 12:24). He is a false prophet. He deserves to die because He is so horrible, with the evil that He is doing and that He will continue to do.” That is what they were saying. That was their case against Jesus. And to their listeners, it felt scary.
When you are pure in heart, you can easily recognize modern-day Pharisees. You can say, “That’s not the spirit of God. That’s not the heart of God. This fear that’s coming out, this judgment, this skepticism, that’s not of God.” We are called to have discernment, but not skepticism. We are not called to look for evil in people that’s not there. We don’t know the hearts of people, only God does.
I’m teaching you now how to have this understanding that David speaks about:
Psalm 119:100
I understand more than those who are older, because I obey your instructions.
David is saying, “I have more spiritual understanding and more revelation than the people who are older than me, than the believers of God who are older than me.” David is saying, “I’m like Peter. I am after your heart and I’m taking your commands seriously. I’m not listening to these other voices that are clearly not from you. I’m not hopping on a bandwagon. I am careful to keep my heart pure. I am careful to be after your heart, truly, and not allow impurity in. Therefore I have more understanding.”
To get this greater understanding that David and Peter had is not complicated. It’s simply to be pure in heart. It’s simply to recognize when people are speaking in a way that doesn’t sound godly, that brings forth fear and confusion, not peace. That’s not God! Watch out! Don’t listen to that voice! That’s a scheme of the devil to hold you back from receiving from God through the servant or servants of God that He has called you to receive from.
The book signing in New York City was so powerful. I was so in awe of the people who came to that book signing: of their spiritual understanding, of the revelation that they had about the anointing, of the revelation they had about God’s ways, of how He puts the anointing in a vessel, of His ways of moving in the shadow of a servant of God, of how by positioning themselves near where the anointing is being released, they would receive miracles like in the time of Peter and Paul.
It was advertised as a simple book signing. I did not say that miracles would take place. I did not say I would pray for everybody and release the anointing. I said, “It’s a book signing.” And I sat down with my sharpie pen there in my hand. I was just ready to sign books, but I was ready for the Holy Spirit to move however he wanted. But these people, person after person, came with their spiritual eyes open. They came with this understanding: “I’m coming under the shadow of the anointing right now. This is an opportunity. This book signing is an opportunity to come under the shadow of the anointing”.
There was one woman—I was just signing her book, not saying anything, and she started to speak and said, “I can’t stand.” And she fell back. And with other people, I was almost whispering. I was walking in wisdom and being respectful of the Barnes and Noble bookstore because we didn’t tell them, “By the way, it’s going to be church on top of the book signing.” I didn’t plan that; it was the Holy Spirit. And it wasn’t an enclosed room; there was just a curtain there. I was trying to walk in wisdom and be respectful, but I also know that when the Holy Spirit wants to move, it doesn’t matter if my voice is whispering or loud. So I was speaking very quietly, and people were falling back with God's power, glory to God! People are being delivered, glory to God! People were receiving impartation and the fire of the Holy Spirit.
This happened because the power of God, the anointing, was truly there. It was truly there, like Peter’s shadow, so God in His anointing was ready to touch whoever had understanding and wanted to receive it. Because God fills the hungry and He moves upon faith. You have to have faith that God can heal, that God can deliver, that God can touch you, but you also have to have faith in God’s ways. You have to have respect, understanding, and faith in God’s ways of doing these miracles, of His ways of moving in power, which is, for the most part, through vessels—not just anyone, but His chosen servants of God. “This is a chosen servant of God and God is going to move in His anointing through this vessel as He did through Peter and Paul. I have this faith to receive the anointing through this servant of God.”
And that pulls upon the anointing.
That releases the miracle.
Like the centurion soldier, who said, “Just say the word and it will be done.” And Jesus replied, “I had not seen any faith like this! The miracle will happen now!” (Matthew 8:5-13, Luke 7:1-10). We don’t see any recordings of miracles like that where He just sends the word, UNTIL the centurion soldier. Because faith was NEEDED. This principle of faith is needed. The centurion soldier had faith in the anointing in Jesus, in the power of God in Jesus. And so the miracle could be released to his servant.
That’s why all of this took place at the book signing. The anointing was present, but not just that. Those hundreds of people had revelation and understanding of God, of His heart, so they were able to see who God is using. They were able to push away the Pharisee lies so that nothing would hold them back from receiving from God through His vessel. And when you can just have that faith, that pure heart, that being strict to refuse the lies of the devil, look how powerfully God can move! God can do hundreds of miracles in your life. God can heal your husband, your family member, in another room who’s not even watching the church service. God can touch you in power at a book signing without anybody touching you, with just a whisper of a prayer or sometimes not even uttering any words. Look how powerfully you can receive from God when you have this understanding that comes from really knowing God, from having revelation of God.
God knows what you need, so the messages that come forth here are totally from God, totally Holy Spirit-led. God sees what’s going on in your life and the devil’s schemes, and He knows what you need. So I know today that some of you are being held back from receiving all that God has for you. You’re second-guessing. You’re listening too much to the devil's voice. This is going to happen to many of you, if not all of you, where the devil will come some way, whether it’s through videos through other people or just in your mind, and he will speak against the servant of God that God is calling you to receive from. Just like Heaven shared, out of nowhere the devil was saying lies about me in her head. And what did she do? She said, “You’re dumb, you’re stupid, get behind me Satan.”
You have to be aware that the devil knows God’s principles. He knows the ways in which God moves. Why do you think he persecutes the anointed servants of God the most? He knows. So you need to be aware of this scheme of the devil and be quick to tell him, “Get behind me Satan! You will not get in the way of me receiving all that God has for me. I’m not coming up short. I’m receiving hundreds of miracles in my life for me and my family, and nothing will stop this!”
2 Chronicles 20:20
Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.
Part of the reason that this message is coming forth today is that it’s needed for your life. One of the things that God does through His servants is He shares direction. He shares prophetic words concerning your life. God is ready to take you higher, but when these words come forth, they are not just for you to respond with, “Woohoo, I’m going higher!” You need faith to go higher. You need faith to receive the more that God has for you. Like God said to Abraham:
Genesis 22:17-18
I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.
Abraham did not see these promises of God come immediately. It was years and years before he saw a glimpse of this promise come to pass. He needed faith to hold on to that word and step forward and leave that land. God called him, “Leave that land.” That was hard and uncomfortable. To go to this new land to be able to receive these great promises, these great blessings for his life, he needed faith. God didn’t give him this word for him to sit and just receive the promises. He gave him this great direction. “Leave your land and go to this new land so that you can then use your faith. Lift your faith. Lift your faith higher! Use your faith to then step forward and leave the land where you will not be blessed, where you will stay stagnant, and where you will not walk in your calling. You need to come higher with your faith and use that faith to give you strength, to step forward and step into the promised land.”
God is saying prophetically in this season, “It’s time for your faith to be challenged. It’s time to take your faith beyond the normal faith.” God has greater things coming for you. He has such greater things coming for this move of God, for 5F, for this revival! But in order for us to get there, we have to lift our faith. We have to challenge our faith and come higher where God wants to take us.
So remember this. Believe in the prophets. Believe the servants of God and you will prosper. You will succeed. It’s important for you to let go of any of these things, any of these voices of the devil that have been holding you back from receiving so that you can fly with Jesus, so that your faith can catapult, can skyrocket, so that God can release all these blessings and miracles that He has planned for you.
The time is now. This prophetic word is for you to look around and see these things that have been holding you back in your life from receiving all that God has for you. I encourage you to take this word seriously and say to God, “God I don’t want to have any impurity anymore. I don’t want to listen to any impure voices anymore. I want to have revelation like Peter. I want to have revelation like David and I want to see you 100 percent rightly, in all your ways, in your move, through your servants, through your church. I want to see you rightly. I don’t want to see you 50 percent rightly. I want to have this 100 percent revelation of who you are, of where you’re moving, of who you’re moving through, so that nothing can hold me back from receiving from you, God. Nothing can hold me back from transforming more into your image. It’s time now to go higher, to skyrocket with Jesus!”
